The Collective Chooses Impresstik For Labelling New Plant-Based Yoghurt Range

The Collective, one of New Zealand’s leading yoghurt companies, has turned its expertise to the plant-based movement by producing a new range of delicious dairy-free yoghurts.

As well as the product being unique, the packaging is also something special. The Collective is the first yoghurt brand in New Zealand to launch a product in #1 rPET tubs, meaning the range is made using post-consumer recycled plastic that (when rinsed), can be recycled kerbside anywhere in New Zealand.

Impresstik Labelling Systems has worked closely with The Collective’s Marketing and Engineering teams throughout the development process to ensure that the final presentation of the product is at the highest level. With rPET tubs being a reasonably soft plastic, along with the design demanding tapered tubs and dual labels, high performance and tailored labelling system was required for the job.

The Impresstik 2000VAC-HP system provided includes:

  • High-speed servo-driven labelling head

  • Vacuum belt assembly with angle, vertical, and horizontal adjustment

  • Product Capturing & Straightening System

  • Custom tooling to suit the range of tub sizes

  • Safety guarding system

The 2000VAC-HP is the second Impresstik system delivered to the Collective, who this time dealt directly with the factory and the newly established NZ subsidiary with positive results:

“From design to install the process has been painless. We can pick up the phone any time and speak with the factory engineers who have built our machine and know it inside-out. Alternatively, if we need someone on-site, the local Impresstik branch is always responsive and can send someone right away if needed. For our type of application, Impresstik was clearly the way-to-go ”. Clint van der Mescht (Engineering Manager, Epicurean Dairy)
